Suezmax becomes part of the DryShips fleet

Dryships has taken over the new tanker Suezmax. The vessel is the sixth ship they have taken over. Suezmax will be repaid over 5 years, with a daily payment of $ 25,000, with a total cost of about $ 43.1 million. Dryships currently operates a fleet of 32 ships.

Mobile crane collapsed after hitting the dock

While docking in the port of Abidjan, the cargo ship hit port 21 and crashed a mobile crane. It is a Da Zhi vessel that is currently anchored in the port of Abidjan. The owner of the ship is COSCO Bulk Shipping. Operations and works returned to normal.

Diana Shipping adds Kamsarmax

The Greek company Diana Shipping has added Kamsarmax to its fleet. The Astarte, previously known as Seatrust, was bought for USD 22.6 million. Explosion in Cartagena – 6 die

Six people died in an explosion at the Cotecmar shipyard in Cartagena and at least 20 people were injured. The explosion occurred on Wednesday, May 17. Three explosions were reported some 15 kilometers from the city and took place while the workers were painting a tanker vessel.

Kamsarmax Joins DryShips’ Fleet

DryShips has taken delivery of the Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier which was constructed in 2014. Under the deals, the Kamsarmax and two other ships are expected to join their new owner during the second part of 2017. Since the beginning of 2017, the company has taken delivery of five vessels and expects to take delivery of twelve more by the end of the year.

Golden Ocean Group Limited takes another tanker

Golden Ocean Group Limited (GOGL) has taken delivery of another tanker bought in March. The Q Ioanari is a ship which will now be renamed Golden Ioanari. The ship was constructed by the Hyundai Mipo shipyard in Korea in 2011. Its market value currently stands at USD 19.47 million.

Golden Ocean Group Limited buys two tankers

Golden Ocean Group Limited (GOGL) recently purchased two tankers. Q Myrtalia and Q Shea will be renamed Golden Myrtalia and Golden Shea. This is the third pair of tankers to be purchased by GOGL. The company took over the tankers in late April, a duo featuring Q Sue from 2013 and Q Kaki from 2014. GOGL’s registered capital is $ 6,051,149.60.

Navig8 Chemical Tankers bought the last contracted tanker

The tanker is 159 meters long and 25 meters wide. The vessel was constructed by the Kitanihon Zosen shipyard. The Navig8 Sceptrum is the sixth of six vessels listed in the contract to be delivered to the company. The 16,000-tonne Navig8 Sceptrum tanker is one of two ships priced at $ 54.3 million.

DryShips buys new Suezmax Tanker

DryShips Inc. approved the purchase of the Suezmax tanker currently under construction in China. The total cost of the tanker is $ 64 million and the ship will be delivered in May 2017. DryShips said back in April that it aims to expand its current fleet of 21 vessels.
